All About Newquay
Sardines, surfing, fishing and boating, all have played their part in making Newquay the exciting and vibrant coastal destination it is today. Occupying a fantastic location on the north Cornwall coast, with towering cliffs, pounding surf and a seemingly endless sweep of beaches, its no wonder that generations of visitors have been making their way to this great British holiday base!

Newquay is THE home of the adrenalin rush! Nowhere else in the UK can boast such a range and diversity of extreme activities in one place. Of course, surfing is king here but Newquay is also the place to try out kitesurfing, bodyboarding, waveskiing, kitebuggying, paddlesurfing, coasteering and mountain boarding to name a few.
Whatever your age, fitness level, ability or experience there is something to suit. OK, so you may not break Andreya Wharry's kitesurfing record (Watergate Bay to County Waterford Ireland) but you're guaranteed to have a load of fun whatever adrenalin experience you choose with Vertical Descents! And, rest assured you'll be in safe hands, some of Britain top coaches work in the activity centre to help you get the most of your day.

Imagine an exhilarating cliff top walk on a crisp winter's morning, the sea foaming and seething below, huge surf pounding the dramatic coastline. After you've blown the cobwebs away, why not head for one of Newquay's many cafes or resturants for a warming drink and a bite to eat? Or check out the Lane Theatre, Newquay's renowned playhouse for an evening production.
Newquay makes for a great short break destination in the quieter months - a chance to chill out, recharge the batteries, check out the local farmer's markets or winter festivals. Many accommodation providers offer fantastic packages at this time of year. What's more, Newquay's renowned festival scene is very much alive and kicking, with events to cater for all tastes - from Christmas fayres to wildlife watching days, real ale weekends to food festivals.

Newquay is ideally located to visit the rest of Cornwall and what a county to explore!
It's no surprise around 4 million of you visit each year historic towns like St Ives, Padstow, Mousehole and St Mawes, exotic gardens like Trebah, Trelissick and Heligan and amazing attractions such as the Eden Project, National Maritime Museum, Tate Gallery and Goonhilly Downs.

And all within an hour's drive or bus ride of Newquay!

Add to that diverse mix Cornwall's growing food and art scene, some of the UK's most incredible gardens, an impressive variety of festivals and events throughout the year, an excellent range of accommodation to suit discerning couples, honeymooners and families alike and of course its famed coastline and you quickly realise you're going to have to come again next year to fit everything in!

Newquay really does come alive when the sun sets!

From chillout bars and traditional pubs, to beachside cafes and rocking nightclubs, there's every reason to extend your day into the small hours! Soak up the atmosphere at an intimate pavement cafe or head on down to one of the many live music venues to hear local and international acts. Newquay's nightclubs are UK renowned, often playing host to Radio 1 and other top DJs.

If the view is all important, then Newquay won't disappoint, with some stunning cliff-top bars and cafes. Real ale fans are not left behind with a number of establishments serving Cornish and small brewery beers.
