Getting To Vertical Descents in the South West

Travel To The South West by Rail
There are through intercity rail services to Newquay on Saturdays and Sundays from May to September, and every day during July and August. At other times you will need to change trains on the way, usually at Par or Plymouth. You can check this when booking your ticket. First Great Western provide high speed services from London Paddington, South Wales and the Cotswolds to Cornwall, including a Sleeper service from London Paddington. First Great Western operate services on the branch lines in Cornwall, including the Par to Newquay line. CrossCountry Trains operate services into Cornwall from Birmingham, Bristol, the North and Scotland. 

Travel Newquay by Air
There are now many airlines offering flights direct to Newquay Cornwall from around the country:
Air SouthWest has flights from Bristol, Dublin, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick, Manchester, Cork, Glasgow, London City and Newcastle. 
Ryanair operate one flight a day between Newquay and Stansted.
BMI Baby run a summer service between Manchester and Newquay.
Jet2 run a 3 day a week service into Newquay from Leeds/Bradford Airport.
Flybe runs a service five days a week to Newquay from destinations such as Edinburgh, Belfast and the Isle of Man.
The Isles of Scilly Skybus runs a daily year round flight to Newquay from the Isles of Scilly (except Sunday).

Travel To the South West by Coach
National Express serves Cornwall and Newquay from destinations throughout Britain. Express coaches go direct to Newquay from London Victoria and Heathrow Airport and runs up to six times a day. Connecting services to Cornwall are available from Bristol, Birmingham and London. All seats can be reserved. Megabus operate nationwide and run services from London and Plymouth to Newquay. Call 08705 50 50 50 

Locally, an extensive network of bus services is run by a number of operators in Cornwall.

Travel To the South West by Road
The M4, M5 and M6 motorways have made travel to Cornwall simple and straightforward, while within Cornwall itself, the final work to dual the A30 at Goss Moor opened in 2007 and now provides a fast direct route right through the county. Join the M5 which you then follow to Exeter, after which you take the A30 into Cornwall, and follow the signs for Newquay.

Getting Around
Car, Taxi, Tuc Tucs, Trains, Buses, Bicycle and Boat are all ways to travel around the South West When you are here.
